Social Distancing: Vaccinated people no longer need to socially distance themselves. Unvaccinated people should maintain a social distance of 6 feet.
Per CDC-“If you have a condition or are taking medications that weaken your immune system, you may NOT be fully protected even if you are fully vaccinated. Talk to your healthcare provider. Even after vaccination, you may need to continue taking all precautions”
In light of these recommendations, we will keep a section of the church with social distancing available for those who consider themselves high risk and would like to keep a 6-foot distance.
Entering/Exiting Sanctuary: All participants will be required to enter the Sanctuary through the Dilworth Road East doors and leave through the East Boulevard doors or the door to the parking lot. Handicapped ingress and egress will be through the gate on Dilworth Road East. This will aid our deacons in keeping track of all people in attendance
Seating: Vaccinated people do not need to socially distance themselves but can if they choose. Unvaccinated people need to socially distance themselves from those not in their household.
Music: Singing in an indoor chorus is a safer activity for vaccinated People!!! Again, anyone who is more comfortable in a mask for singing may do so and unvaccinated people need to remain masked for singing.
Communion: Communion will be pre-packaged and participants will dispose of wrappings in receptacle provided. Participants may choose to bring their own elements. No change. It is still better to avoid multiple people handling the same items.
Offering: Tithes and offerings will be placed individually in a dropbox near the East Boulevard exit. If making a gift by check, it would be most helpful to have checks filled out before the worship service. If making a gift by cash, envelopes will be provided upon request. Electronic giving through the FCC Website or EasyTithe app is strongly encouraged.
No change to the offering. Same as communion. We want to avoid multiple people handling the same objects
Sunday School: No Sunday School this summer while we see how in-person services go. Zoom Bible Study on Thursday nights will continue
Child Care: Child care will be provided in the Nursery by Meredith Salyer for children age 6 and under.
Restrooms: Restrooms near the church entryway and in the Choir room will be open for use. No change
Fellowship Hall: The Montagnard Church of Dao Blung Hlao will meet at 10:00 a.m. Fellowship Hall will not be open for other uses and restrooms on that level will only be available to congregants of Dao Blung Hlao. No change
FCC is taking many precautions to provide a safe Worship experience, but there is a level of risk assumed in attendance due to the nature of COVID.
We encourage everyone to be vaccinated for COVID, following the advice of their medical professional. People who are experiencing any COVID-related symptoms or who have underlying health conditions which may put them at risk are advised to stay home, stay safe and participate via our online services. People who are immunocompromised are advised to consult with your doctor about the advisability of attending services with other masked people.
